Coroflute sheets 5 mm thick Black & White only Pk/5 (TS2041)
Coroflute available in white only in sheets measuring 600 x 400 mm. A fluted polypropylene (plastic) sheet building material which can be shaped using rotary cutters, scissors and saws. It can be joined using low and hot melt glue guns, click rivets, tapes or joints.
In other publications the material may be referred to as Corboard, Printflute or Fluteboard. When one side of the material is carefully cut along the length of the flute, the resulting flap can be flexed as a hinge, repeatedly without damage. Ideal for a drawbridge over a moat!
Note that this versatile material has endless features some of which are listed below:
Use as an integral hinge by scoring both sides with a blunt ended dowel or biro; can be flexed many thousand times without breaking.
Score along the flutes using the blunt end of a biro and fold up to a right angle.
Using a sharp trimming knife, remove half a flute at an edge so that it makes a neat joint with another piece.
The hollow flutes allow dowel to rotate as an axle attached to wheels.
Glue it using low and hot melt adhesives.
Cut it using power scissors, trimming knives and utility saws.
Use a compass cutter to drill it, punch it and cut holes in it.
It is lightweight, colourful and non-toxic.
Sticky back material adheres to it including Velcro, copper track material and masking tapes.
It can be joined using paper fasteners, Christmas tree rivets, Click rivets and bolts.
