A knife able to be fitted with a variety of blade types suitable for general purpose accurate cutting and shaping of balsa and allied accurate cutting tasks.
Any balsa knife or replacement blade is manufactured from surgical quality steel and is extremely sharp.
Balsa knives are specialist cutting and paring instruments and should only be used by older students after adequate training, experience and supervision has been undertaken. Use only when work is adequately secured and when cutting 'through' material, support the work on a resilient surface or cutting mat.
Because of the pointed nature of some blade care should be taken with handling and storage of blades and complete balsa knives.
