Pulley: plastic micro-pulley: Pk/20 (TS0201) These miniature pulleys fit onto the shaft of small motors allowing them to drive other components via a rubber band. Pulleys can be used to speed up or slow down rotation. For example a miniature pulley nominal diameter of 3 mm can be fitted to a shaft of a small motor which rotates at 1500 rpm. This set-up connects via a rubber band to a 10 mm pulley. The speed of rotation of the large pulley is calculated by multiplying the speed of the motor by the ratio of the pulley diameters: 1500 x 3 = 450 rpm 10This only approximates the actual speed because of frictional losses in the system.
