Polyethylene plastic terminal blocks are used to connect hook-up wire when making simple electrical circuits. Hole diameter of each block is 3.3mm.
Terminal block is a plastic moulding surrounding brass connectors with screw terminals. The block may be easily cut into individual units using a hacksaw or sharp knife.
The cut sections make a very secure fastening hook-up wire to the metal tab connectors of a small electric motor such as TS0086. Equally the connectors may be easily fastened to the terminals of reed switches, LED's and other electrical components.The screw type joint is a more secure joining method than twisting hook-up wire around terminals and provides an alternative to soldering in the primary classroom.
