Rocket canisters with lids: Pk/10 (TS1129) A great item for demonstrating 'Alka Seltzer' rockets. Recipe: 1/4 fill the film canister with water.Add a 1/4 Alka-Seltzer tablet. Put the lid on quickly (make sure it's tight-fitting).Tip it up-side down on the ground. Stand back!TEACHER NOTE: Do not put your head over the rocket for any reason.It will launch with speed and force.You could end up with worse than a black eye.All participants are advised to wear safety glasses.These particular size canisters allow a size 'C' battery to be fitted into the container such that it can be used as a 'home-made' battery holder.Similarly by using split pin connectors and a marble coated with aluminium foil a switch may be constructed.
